EPSA is implementing the SportsManager on-line database solution for Soccer management for the 2005 Season.  Our immediate goal is to streamline the registration of all players. This will require automating the registration for Clubs and Leagues.

Once on-line registration is completed then the EPSA leagues will be able to use SportsManager for:

·        on-line schedule creation using auto-scheduling or manual scheduling.

·        schedule display, scoring, standings display, emailing

·        All schedules, scores and standings can be displayed within a League website if they have one. If they don’t have a website then the SportsManager site can be used as one.

EPSA Clubs will also be able to manage their player and team information including:

For more information on SportsManager please visit www.sportsmanager.us to view product features or to access a live sample database.

For questions on the SportsManager or on how the EPSA, League or Club relationship will work please call 1-800-277-7657 X-221 or email sharty@sportsmanager.us.

All EPSA leagues and clubs should follow these instructions to pay and sign up for their SportsManager access.

Once a league or club pays for their SportsManager subscription they will be emailed a link and password. Once they have the link they can start managing their data, create registration options, accept registrations on-line and start setting up their teams, fields and open times.

SportsManager annual subscription fees are as follows for EPSA Leagues and Clubs:

  • Leagues will pay $100/year
  • Clubs/Independent Teams will pay $50/year

Once your league or club is signed up, SportsManager will email the link to the database so you can start managing your data.

EPSA and SportsManager require that Clubs and Leagues pay on-line for their SportsManager access.  Please click on the appropriate link to make your league or club payment.  If for some reason you cannot pay by credit card on-line then please contact SportsManager directly to pay by check at 800-277-7657 X-221.  They may be an additional $10 fee for payments by check.

What is a League or Club ?

  • A league is any organization that does scheduling. They may or may not have direct registration responsibility for players.  Some leagues like the Women’s Soccer also manage the registration of their players. Other leagues have no direct responsibility for registering players they just schedule games for independent clubs.

  • A club has registration responsibility for players but depends on a higher level league for the scheduling of their games with other clubs.

  • If you have any questions on this please call 800-277-7657 X-221.

What is the next step for EPSA and USASA utilization of SportsManager ?

Today only the payment by the player is being automated for the 2005 Fall season. The payments from the Clubs to Lleagues or from the Leagues to the state organization will continue to be done by mail-in check.

In 2006, EPSA will take the next step to ensure that all games, scores and standings are managed on-line.  Utilization of the on-line scheduling is optional for 2005 but it is encouraged since it will save the Leagues a lot of time, reduce errors and improve communications with the clubs and players. It will also enhance the quality of the sport.

In 2006, the state can start to utilize the data base to count state wide players, teams or leagues and to see consolidated schedules, scores and standings.

The long term goal is to use EPSA as an example of how on-line registration, league management and scheduling can be used by clubs and leagues in all state organizations. Once other states come on-line then USASA, at the national level, can count players, teams, leagues and see consolidated schedules and results across the country.
